The Armor of God
Ephesians 6: 10-18
Hebrews 11
The armor of God for Christians can be liken to the armor and gadgets used by soldiers. The Christian should always be prepared for battle against the devil. A christian has to put on the armor always. Faith and hope help the christian in battle. Our salvation is Christ Jesus. The Word of God is Jesus. When you accept Jesus you move away from the world.
Praying should be very key to the christian. Praying consistently and in all occasions is very critical. Without the armor you can not stand the devil.
All the armor should be worn all the time to show your preparedness to withstand and counter the devil's attacks. All the weapons are defensive but the sword which is the word of God is the only offensive weapon. The bible (physical) is not a weapon but the part of the bible that proceeds from your mouth. Knowing, believing and clinging to the words of the bible helps in your prayers.That is when you can make references to parts of it in your prayers and also in times of need. You can also stand on some parts of the bible like a verse and pray or meditate and thus bring into reality some promises God has said about you or some situation. The Word (bible) when spoken in faith, serves as a missile destroying the devils attacks on your life.
It is also prudent to live at peace with all men (Hebrews 12:14 and Romans 12:18). The way you relate to the people around speaks volumes about your life and the God you serve. This is a form of evangelism.
Salvation and faith are very important. Because without them you won't be able to get the armor, use them and experience and know their efficacy. Having and using the armor effectively helps one to walk in the Perfect Will of God.
